North Alabama always has the most gorgeous blooms in the springtime and we took advantage of them with Jan's new little baby bump. Between the Bradford Pear trees and the Redbud trees, we were destined for gorgeousness. Even so, my beautiful friend stole the show. It is absolutely surreal to be photographing her maternity portraits. Not only is it such an incredibly humbling honor to have a photographer ask you to photograph them, but I'm just happy to tears to be walking this exciting road with such a precious friend.
That's just the joy of the Lord, right there, folks. ;)
Congratulations on that sweet boy, Jan + Chase! We can't wait to squeeze his cheeks. Stay tuned for their full-blown maternity session among the canola fields! :)

I hope these gave you as much of a laugh as they did for us when we were making them. We could not believe how much Snuggles was enjoying it. She was actually snoring in some of these! I'm just so proud of Jan and Chase for keeping a straight face! :)
Mostly, I'm just so thankful for such a dear friendship. Jan was so creative to have come up with this creative concept and so sweet to allow me to come along for the ride. She always keeps life interesting, fun, and light. :)

This family is so encouraging and fun to be around. I'm honored to call them friends and seriously humbled that they would choose me to be their family photographer. :) We did their session on some family land in North Alabama, and it was perfect and gorgeous (minus the swarms of gnats). But, they gave us lots of smiles and swatting breaks, so I'll take it. ;)
I'm so thankful to have such amazing clients like Melissa and Jake. We had so much fun shooting their maternity photographs. They turned out beautifully. I loved including the ivy details into the shoot, since this sweet baby girl's name is Ivy Wren. :) I'm so excited to meet her and do her newborn photos! Little Hank was so sweet and well-behaved at his newborn photography session! He's a natural! His funny faces and little personality just make me want to squish his cheeks every time I look at these photos. :) One of the most precious parts of this session is that we were able to include baby blankets from both sides of Hank's family. I LOVE it when family's bring such treasured items to add to the meaning behind the portraits. We did the photo session at my home studio in Huntsville AL. It was my first time using the blue room, and it was so sweet and perfect for a baby boy. :) I'm so excited to do more sessions there and see more of what I can do with it. It's so fun to play around with different lighting sources and situations to produce unique memories for my clients.

This family was an absolute blast to work with! Like so many of my clients, they made me remember why I love family photography. I walked away having used muscles I didn't know existed, sweating profusely, and smiling. :D These three boys gave me a run for my money! We had such a great location that the family frequents just north of Huntsville AL. They're quite fond of the dirt, mud, and frogs that can be found there, apparently! Sweet Eli had recently been officially adopted into their family through the foster care system after years of waiting. I was so incredibly honored to take their family photos. Adoption is such an amazing gift from the Lord, and it deserves quite the celebration! Thank you again and again and again, Eli and family, for letting me take part in this blessed event! I'm so excited for you all, and I hope you remember these wonderful, crazy days and the love you have for one another whenever you see these images. :)
I'm so lucky to call these sweet people friends. Shelley and I have been friends since high school, and I'm just so thankful we've kept in touch all these years. I had such a fun time taking their family portraits. Cincinnati OH is so beautiful in the spring and summer. Aren't these trees to die for? I especially loved the one in the first picture. So much character and history in its branches. I always love doing a few sessions when I'm up there. :) Different locations, different weather, new people - I love it! As you can see, Austin put on such a brave face for picture day. I was so proud. ;) But seriously, I couldn't have been happier to do their family pictures. They're just so stinkin' beautiful! I just can't wait to do more! Shelley and Austin, your sweet puppy, Rosco MUST come with you next time. He's so cute, and I can just tell he's going to be quite the model. ;)

I seriously couldn't be happier for the sweet people. They are such dear friends, and I was so blessed to take these maternity photos for them. We found a beautiful fall field near their home in Huntsville AL. The wheat was tall and so beautiful. And look at that sun! Maternity photos are always so special. It's such a miracle to watch a family bring new life into this world. I know that all their friends and family are praising the Lord for this long awaited baby girl! :) We can't wait to meet her and watch her grow! She will be such a blessed little girl.
Josh and Rachel, we are rejoicing with you on this journey of parenthood. It will be tough and absolutely worth every second. I know baby Kate will bring you joy beyond what you could ever imagine. You're going to be amazing parents. Congratulations for the hundredth time, and thank you so much for letting me be even a small part in this exciting time in your lives. :)
